Woman left in hysterics after man asks her 'awkward' tampon question in supermarket

A woman was left amused when a man approached her in a supermarket to ask an "awkward question".

She shared on Reddit how she was doing her weekly shopping with her children when the man, who appeared flustered and confused, approached her.

The woman posted: "I had seen this man frantically walk around the same area but didn't think much of it. We were in the toiletries section and I had just been talking to my daughter about if we should try this new shampoo and conditioner that was on sale."

"We started walking towards toilet paper and the same man taps my shoulder and says 'I hope this isn't too awkward of a question but where are tampons?'"

Eager to assist, she directed him to the right aisle and answered his subsequent query.

"He asked me what he should buy and said she is 45 and has had kids," she continued. "I am not bothered by this question more just thinking dang men need knowledge about women, I show him what I get. He tried to grab just any box.

"I tell him it's better to get a box that has regular and super because that is what you usually need. He was super confused and what truly made me laugh was at the end, he looked at me and said 'is there anything cheaper' I told him no, there is not."

On Reddit, she applauded him for ensuring he left the shop with the items his wife needed, adding: "Good on him for taking care of her. It was quite the wake-up call for another guy how much we have to spend for something we have absolutely no control over."
