Wolves want Matheus Nunes and another signing done 'by the weekend' at Molineux

Wolverhampton Wanderers have ‘got to get a striker in’ before the transfer window shuts on September 1, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The Midlands outfit are currently desperately short of options up front after Fabio Silva joined Anderlecht on loan and Raul Jimenez picked up an injury in pre-season.

Last season, only the three relegated clubs scored fewer Premier League goals than Wolves, who found the back of the net on a measly 38 occasions in their 38 fixtures.

Jimenez was the Molineux side’s top scorer in the league with an underwhelming tally of just six strikes, further highlighting their need for additional firepower for the current campaign.
