Wolves receive huge Joao Moutinho and Pedro Neto boost before Leicester City

Bruno Lage has confirmed Wolverhampton Wanderers have a fully fit squad for the first time in his time at the club.

Joao Moutinho has missed Wolves’ last two Premier League games due to a calf injury, but the influential midfielder has now returned to full training.

The 35-year-old Portugal international could return to Wolves’ starting line-up for Sunday’s match against Leicester City (4.30pm kick-off).

Pedro Neto has also returned to team training after 10 months on the side-lines with a knee injury. The 21-year-old winger should soon become available to make his first Premier League appearance of the season.

Lage has also been boosted by the returns of Willy Boly and Yerson Mosquera to training.

Giving his latest team news, Lage said: “Everyone is involved in training. Every player is fit and ready to join the team. It’s good news. It means no bad news.

“For now we have every player available. We have Joao, Pedro, Hwang, so everyone was involved in training. We have been waiting for this since the first day and it comes in the middle of February.”

Lage has previously set Neto a return date of early March, but the winger could now return to the bench for Wolves’ remaining February fixtures.

After the game with Leicester on Sunday, Wolves have a crucial double-header against European rivals Arsenal and West Ham.

“Let’s see,” Lage said when asked whether Neto will feature in the squad on Sunday. “Everyone is training with the team, now we need to see day by day how he feels. It’s a question of timing and we can select him for the games.”
