Wolves latest news: Big 'problem' for Bruno Lage after transfer window closes

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ lack of firepower could severely hamper their chances of securing European football for next season, according to the Daily Mail’s chief football reporter Sami Mokbel.

The West Midlands club have quietly climbed the Premier League table and are in contention to break into the Premier League’s top six.

Bruno Lage took over as Wolves’ head coach last summer, replacing the departed Nuno Espirito Santo, and he has guided the club to a series of impressive results.

Just last month, a late Joao Moutinho strike allowed Wolves to clinch their first victory at Manchester United’s Old Trafford home in close to 42 years.

Hwang Hee-chan’s season-long loan from RB Leipzig is set to be made permanent at the end of the season after already striking an agreement with the Bundesliga side.

Although Wolves parted with £1million to sign striker Jeong Sang-bin from Suwon Samsang, the 19-year-old has been loaned out to Swiss side Grasshoppers.
