Wolves: Lage 'should build around' £25m star at Molineux
Wolves manager Bruno Lage should look to build his team around Pedro Neto moving forward, according to Midlands-based journalist Josh Holland.
Neto only played a bit-part role at Molineux last term as he returned from a serious injury, but Holland has urged Lage to show faith in the 22-year-old winger next season.
The Portuguese forward had a breakthrough campaign at Wolves in 2020/21 as he scored five goals and registered six assists in the top-flight.
Playing under Nuno Espirito Santo, Wolves finished in a disappointing 13th place, but Neto was one of their brighter players throughout the season.
However, he suffered a serious knee injury in April 2021, which kept him out of action for 10 months. He was then used sparingly for the remainder of last season, making just 13 Premier League appearances.

With Neto ruled out for the majority of the season, Wolves turned to Trincao, who they signed on a season-long loan from Barcelona.
They now have an option to buy him, but it has been reported that they are undecided on whether to take up this opportunity.
Holland has not been particularly impressed by Trincao, and feels that Lage should look at making Neto, who is valued at £25m by CIES, a key player in his side instead.
Initially speaking about Trincao, Holland told GIVEMESPORT: “First season in the Premier League, it’s always going to be hard. But, I think there’s better players in that position for Wolves. Pedro Neto, for one, he’s an excellent player, and I think he’s one player that Wolves should build around. I don’t think Trincao is one.”
