Wolves: Bruno Lage needs to 'improve results fast' at Molineux

Wolves and manager Bruno Lage have to improve quickly, says journalist Dean Jones.

While he does have some sympathy for Lage, Jones thinks the 46-year-old has to get the team firing soon before the Molineux faithful start to turn.

Some Wolves supporters are already unhappy with what they have seen from their side so far this campaign, expressing their disapproval at games and online.

The Midlands club have not been terrible, currently sitting 14th in the table. However, they have picked up just one win from six games and are the second-lowest scorers in the Premier League having netted just three goals.

It is a similar theme to last season, where only the relegated trio of Burnley, Watford and Norwich City registered fewer goals than Lage’s men.

With Diego Costa recently arriving at Molineux, though, the Portuguese coach will be hoping his side become more potent in attack.

Jones doubts Wolves supporters will continue to put up with what they have seen from Lage and their team so far this season.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “I think there are factors whereby I feel sorry for Lage. But at the same time, as a supporter, you’re only going to put up with it for so long. At the end of the day, they’ve got to improve fast. They’re two points above the relegation zone.”

It is hard to say. In terms of their league position, probably. They came 10th last season and Lage has proven that he can put a solid defence in place.
