Wolves: 159-game star will 'hold transfer talks during World Cup' at Molineux

Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to hold discussions over Adama Traore’s Molineux future during the World Cup, according to journalist Dean Jones.

While the West Midlands outfit spent more than £120million drafting in reinforcements during the summer transfer window, there is still uncertainty over the winger’s future.

Traore has entered the final 12 months of his £46,000-per-week deal at Wolves and could sign a pre-contract agreement with an overseas outfit at the turn of the year.

According to Tutto Juve, Italian giants Juventus are showing an interest in the 26-year-old and may look to strike when the transfer window reopens for business in January.

The report suggests an initial loan move to the Allianz Stadium could be negotiated before Traore, an eight-cap Spain international, joins on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

Traore is back at Molineux after spending the second half of last season with Barcelona, who opted against taking advantage of a £29million option to keep him at the Nou Camp.

The former Aston Villa man is still searching for his first Premier League start of the season having failed to work his way back into the forefront of Wolves boss Bruno Lage’s plans.

Jones believes Wolves have set their sights on holding extensive discussions over Traore’s future when the Premier League season is put on hold for the World Cup in Qatar.

The transfer insider feels the West Midlands club’s performances up until the competition are set to play a key role in determining whether the club will look to keep the Spaniard or cash-in.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “The way I understand it is that talks are going to take place during the World Cup break.

“They want to see what happens for him and the team between now
