Winter Olympics 2022 - Kamila Valieva the first woman to land a quadruple jump as ROC win team event figure skating gold

The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) claim gold in the figure skating team event after Kamila Valieva's almost-flawless performance confirmed top spot. The 15-year-old dazzled viewers in the women's free skate and despite falling after an attempted quad toe loop, produced a world class score of 178.92, over 30 points clear of second place Kaori Sakamoto. Ad/> Valieva became the first woman to land a quadruple jump at an Olympics; a day after becoming the first European woman to land a triple axel at a Games in the short programme.
