Winger discusses Birmingham City future as boss explores 'new possibilities' with Blues linked striker

Ivan Sanchez has revealed Real Valladolid have an option to make his loan a permanent transfer at the end of the season. For the first time this campaign the 29-year-old is fit and starting games regularly as the Segunda Division outfit battle for promotion to La Liga.

Sanchez has featured in the last six matches and hopes to retain his starting berth for Monday night’s clash with struggling Real Sociedad B, with Real in third place behind Eibar and Almeria and looking to close to two points from the top.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper El Norte de Castilla the winger described how happy he is to be playing again and addressed what might happen in the summer when his loan spell ends. Sanchez has another year left on his Birmingham City contract but he became a fringe player under Birmingham City as he struggled with injury.

“I am very happy here. If the club decides I am staying, Iván is going to be super happy in Valladolid. And if I have to return, then at least to have helped the club achieve the objective."

Shota Arveladze has refused to close the door on Mallik Wilks’ Hull City career. The 23-year-old has not featured for the Tigers for two months generating speculation the attacker could be on his way out of the MKM Stadium.
