Wimbledon 2023: Venus Williams, Elina Svitolina and Liam Broady among first wild cards given for Wimbledon

Venus Williams, Elina Svitolina and Liam Broady are among the first wild cards to be given for Wimbledon. The third major of the year at SW19 is just under two weeks away, and the wild cards will swell British representation at the tournament, with 10 Brits so far named across the men's and women's singles lists. Ad Two places remain open on the men's side, while one is left for the women.

Five-time champion Williams, 43, beat Camlia Giorgi at the recent Birmingham Classic to earn her first top-50 win since 2019. It will be Williams' 24th appearance in the singles draw at Wimbledon.

Also included is new British women's No. 1 Katie Boulter, who took the title last week in Nottingham. Jodie Burrage, Harriet Dart, Katie Swan and Heather Watson have also received wild cards.
