Wimbledon 2022: Dates, schedule and how to get tickets

Wimbledon is set to return this summer, and the tennis championships will feel a little more normal compared to recent years - notably with the return of the ticket queue.

Champion Novak Djokovic will be allowed to defend his title as Wimbledon organisers have announced that players unvaccinated against Covid will be allowed to play, after the tennis star was prevented from playing at the Australian Open.

Aside from Djokovic, all eyes will be on Emma Raducanu, the19-year-old player who took the tennis world by storm when she won the US Open at just 18 years old. And as the current British No.1, tennis fans will be eager to see what she achieves this summer.

If you’re hoping to get involved in the action this June and July, find out everything you need to know about Wimbledon below.

Wimbledon will take place from June 27 to July 10, 2022.

Wimbledon has released the following provisional schedule for this year’s Championships:

Tennis fans will once again be able to queue for tickets for same day events, after the queue was closed last year due to Covid restrictions. Ticket resale will also return in 2022.

All public tickets will be available to buy this year, and tickets are limited to one pair per household.

Tickets will be distributed on the official Wimbledon app.

Wimbledon has introduced tiered pricing on Centre Court and No.1 Court this year, with seats at the front of the court costing more than those at the back.

Wimbledon ticket prices also vary based on the date and court:

Hospitality packages prices start from £670.

There was no Wimbledon ticket ballot for 2022–instead, people who were successful in the 2020 ballot and accepted the ticket offer have been offered the same day and court for this year’s event.
