"Will take a massive offer to turn his head" - Journalist drops big claim on "loyal" Wolves star

Transfer insider Dean Jones says it will take a ‘massive offer’ to turn the head of Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.

The 24-year-old has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal, but Jones does not think he is desperate for a move this summer.

According to The Sun, both United and Arsenal are interested in signing Neves, though Wolves are confident of keeping hold of their midfield maestro.

This is not the first time there has been talk about one of the Premier League big boys being keen on signing the Portuguese star, with The Athletic claiming that there was interest from Arsenal last summer.

He has been an important player for Wolves ever since joining the Midlands club from Porto back in 2017, helping them win promotion to the English top flight after making 42 appearances in that successful 2017/18 Championship campaign.

Since then, Neves has gone on to play 130 times for Wolves in the Premier League, so he is obviously an individual who remains key for them.

Jones has highlighted Neves’ loyalty to Wolves and believes the fact that he was willing to leave a Champions League side like Porto for the Championship shows he has faith in the club.

Speaking about what it would take to prise the Portugal international away from Molineux, the football journalist said: “It will take a massive offer to turn his head. He’s been very loyal in his time there. From the moment he joined the club, it was a huge show of faith.”

His passing range is almost unrivalled. Excluding goalkeepers, only Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold (6.5) and Crystal Palace’s Joachim Andersen (seven), are completing more accurate long balls per game than Neves
