Journalist drops hugely worrying Wolves claim which goes against club's wishes

Journalist Pete O’Rourke believes that Wolves could struggle to keep a hold of Ruben Neves in the summer if several top sides show interest.

Neves has been vital for Wolves in recent years after he was one of the star men that helped them gain Premier League status in 2018, and has continued this form in helping them to become an established top-flight side.

Manchester United and Arsenal were the main clubs concerned when talking about the Portuguese midfielder’s signature in the summer. Although Wolves have kept their man, it may be a different story if clubs continue to show interest.

O’Rourke told GiveMeSport that it may be a “hard battle” for Wolves if they want to keep their man at Molineux next season.

He said: “Wolves won’t want to hear this because they would love to keep Ruben Neves, but I think this summer, it could be a hard battle to keep hold of Neves.”

It may be hard for some to believe considering what he has already achieved in the game, but Ruben Neves is still only 24 years old. Whilst at FC Porto, he featured 18 times in the Champions League before making the move to Wolves.
