"Will benefit West Ham" - Journalist says past deal could help Moyes land "special" 29-goal star

West Ham’s working relationship with Hull City could help them sign Keane Lewis-Potter this summer, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Irons signed Jarrod Bowen from the Championship club in January 2020, and they could be set to raid Hull for another of their brightest prospects in the upcoming transfer window.

Lewis-Potter starred for Hull in League One last year, scoring 13 league goals as they gained promotion to the second-tier.

He has made the step up to the Championship look easy, scoring 12 goals in all competitions, taking his overall career tally to 29 goals for the Tigers.

A move to the Premier League now looks to be on the cards, with West Ham showing an interest in him. Tottenham and Brentford could also compete with the east London club for his signature.

O’Rourke thinks West Ham signing Bowen from the same club could enhance their chances of landing Lewis-Potter.

When asked what effect the Bowen deal could have on a potential agreement for Lewis-Potter, O’Rourke told GIVEMESPORT: “It will benefit West Ham if they do decide to pursue their interest in Keane Lewis-Potter. They considered a possible move in January, as did Brentford, so there’s quite a few clubs looking at the young winger, and he’s really impressed in the Championship.”

Bowen has been a revelation at West Ham under David Moyes, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists in the Premier League this season.

He has established himself as a fans’ favourite at the club, leaving Lewis-Potter with a lot to live up to if he decides to make the switch to the London Stadium.

Still, the 21-year-old looks to have a big future ahead
