Why would Daniel Ricciardo return to Red Bull, a team built around Max Verstappen?

When Daniel Ricciardo announced his departure from Red Bull Racing in 2018, it shocked everyone, including the Formula 1 team and fans. Red Bull gave him all seven of his F1 victories, and he was in a competitive car that could challenge for wins.
