Rasmus Hojlund has not scored in 14 Premier League matches and was taken off before full-time in Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham.
In fact, United’s whole attacking frontline has only tallied four league goals all campaign. This concerns Paul Scholes, who said the Reds struggled to open up opportunities against West Ham, who were thumped 5-1 by Liverpool in midweek.
Hojlund has not been provided with much service but his barren run in the league will be playing on the mind of player and manager. Erik ten Hag has explained why he took off his £72m summer signing in favour of Marcus Rashford, who has just two league goals this term.

Hojlund was partly substituted against West Ham as he was ill in the week. Hojlund was anaemic in United's 2-0 defeat at the London Stadium and he has now gone 14 games without scoring in the Premier League.
United manager Erik ten Hag stressed he had to protect Hojlund as they host Aston Villa on Boxing Day and head to Nottingham Forest on December 30.
Hojlund, 20, has scored five times for United this season and all of them came in Champions League defeats to Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and Copenhagen.

Scholes has hit out at United's attacking players after another woeful performance in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at West Ham.
United failed to score for a fourth consecutive game in another toothless attacking performance, allowing the Hammers to win comfortably. Alejandro Garnacho missed a golden chance in the first half and Rasmus Hojlund was on the fringes of the match before being hooked in the 54th minute.
