Why Manchester United have been told to ignore Richarlison and Paulo Dybala transfers

Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker has urged his old club to steer clear from expressing interest in signing Everton striker Richarlison and Juventus star Paulo Dybala this summer.

The duo have been closely linked with moves to Old Trafford over the last few days ahead of the summer transfer window opening. Both players face levels of uncertainty this summer, particularly in Richarlison's case, as relegation from the Premier League would almost certainly spell the end of his Everton career.

Dybala, meanwhile, is set to leave Juventus at the end of this season when his contract expires. His agent is understood to have held talks with the Turin club in a bid to thrash out terms over a new deal, but those talks have come to an end without an agreement being reached.

He will now leave the club and be available on a free transfer. However, Parker believes United would be better off avoiding signing either of them, although he has conceded that it would depend on who the Reds install as their next permanent manager.

"I don't know who United will get as a manager, but Richarlison, for me, doesn't really fit," Parker told OddsNinja. "If you have a manager who can discipline him, because I think he lacks discipline [then it could work].

"He's not trustworthy and wants to fall down all the time. He gets too emotional and gets involved in personal battles against people on the pitch.

"I would say no. I can't really think of something positive.

“You can see him scoring goals now and again, but I'm going to say no at this moment. He doesn't really fit into what United would be looking for at this moment.
