How much Manchester United have spent on agent fees compared to Premier League rivals

Manchester United have spent the second-most on agent/intermediary fees in the Premier League this season.

United signed Tom Heaton, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2021 summer window. United were expected to challenge for the Premier League title after conducting said business but it's been a disappointing season.

United's hopes of securing Champions League football now appear slim and that could impact the calibre of players they're able to attract in the summer window. Ronaldo could also look to leave the club if United don't manage a top-four finish.

Regarding the business that United did this season, they spent the second-most on agent fees in the Premier League. The FA released official records on Thursday afternoon and they showed United have spent a total of £29,036,141 on agent/intermediary fees between February 2, 2021, and January 31 this year.

Only Manchester City spent more (£35m) during that period while Chelsea (£28m) spent third-most in the top flight.

United are in the market for multiple reinforcements in what promises to be a summer of change. The club will sign a midfielder and a centre-forward in the coming months, while other areas are also being reviewed ahead of the next managerial appointment.
