Why Jermaine Jenas is not on TNT Sports coverage of Brighton vs Manchester United

Jermaine Jenas was sacked from the BBC following complaints about his workplace conduct and will not be on commentary duty for the Manchester United clash with Brighton on Saturday lunchtime.

The former Premier League star was let go by the broadcaster on Thursday for his workplace conduct and alleged inappropriate behaviour. BBC had launched an internal investigation with reports suggesting a female colleague raised concerns over 'flirty texts' which prompted other women to come forward.

Jenas, who had also started a new show at talkSPORT, was also let go by the company. They have said there are 'no plans for Jermaine to broadcast as a presenter on talkSPORT in the immediate future.'

Manchester Evening News has taken a look at the latest surrounding Jenas' situation.

The 41-year-old had commentated on last weekend's Premier League clash between Ipswich and Liverpool for the broadcaster, but he won't be involved in their Premier League coverage this weekend. Jenas has also been let go as a pundit on Match of the Day and as a presenter on the One Show.

TNT Sports’ coverage of the 12:30pm kick-off will be fronted by presenter Lynsey Hipgrave, with Rio Ferdinand and Joe Cole as pundits and Jules Breach as the pitchside reporter. Darren Fletcher is on commentary, with Ally McCoist on co-commentary duties.

Responding to the claims, Jenas told talkSPORT on Thursday he was 'not happy about it.'

He added: "I'm going to have to let the lawyers deal with it. You know, there's two sides to every story, as we know. So that’s all I can
