There are now just 16 teams left in this year's FA Cup, with Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham and Crystal Palace booking their place in the fifth round.

They are the only four representatives from the capital remaining. Brentford, QPR and Fulham were knocked out by Everton, Peterborough and Manchester City respectively, while Arsenal were beaten by Nottingham Forest in round three.

But unlike the previous two rounds, all games in the fifth round will be played in midweek, from Monday, February 28 onwards, with March 2 currently the pencilled in date for the games.

On Sunday, the draw for the fifth round was made and each side will be confident of progressing to the next stage.

Chelsea will be on their travels with Luton Town their destination, Crystal Palace welcome Stoke to Selhurst Park, West Ham travel to Southampton while Spurs face Championship opposition in the shape of Middlesbrough.

Chris Wilder's side dumped Manchester United out of the cup at Old Trafford on Saturday and Antonio Conte will be eager to avoid such an upset.

But why will these clashes take place in midweek rather than across a weekend like usual?

It is tradition that FA Cup games are given pride of place across an entire weekend, but the fifth round will be played entirely in midweek.
