Reece James, Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek: Latest Chelsea injury news ahead of Crystal Palace
Chelsea travel to Crystal Palace in buoyant mood after beating Palmeiras 2-1 to win the Club World Cup last weekend.
The victory over the Brazilian side meant the Blues have claimed every trophy available since Roman Abramovich purchased the club in 2003.
However, it’s back to domestic duties when Thomas Tuchel’s side travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Blues now trail Premier League leaders’ Manchester City by 16 points and are seven adrift from second placed Liverpool, meaning securing third place will be the main aim for Chelsea.
With all of this being said, rounds up the very latest injury news ahead of the weekend's clash.
James travelled to the United Arab Emirates to support his team-mates but didn’t take part in Chelsea’s successful Club World Cup campaign.
The 22-year-old has been on the sidelines since December due to a hamstring injury, Tuchel confirmed James has been making progress but won’t be available to face Palace.
“We had a setback when he caught the flu when he was close to team training. We are waiting for him. The plan is he will rejoin the group next week."
