Who will fight at UFC 281?

UFC 281 is set to be one of the biggest fight cards from the MMA promotion in 2022, but who will be competing on the night?

The main event is highly-anticipated, as Israel Adesanya defends his UFC Middleweight Championship against Alex Pereira, the only man to knock him out during his Kickboxing career.

It’s not just the main event that is looking like an exciting prospect, as the Main Card is set to feature some of the biggest names in the UFC 155-pound and Women’s 115-pound divisions!

The following bouts have been confirmed for the fight card from Madison Square Garden as of writing on Thursday, September 29th 2022:

As you can see from the above lineup, we will also be treated to a Women’s Strawweight bout on the Main Card when Carla Esparza defends against Weili Zhang.

The top of the Women’s 115lb division has become a lot more competitive and open since Esparza won the title, and Zhang will be hoping to earn the gold and potentially move on to a bout against the likes of Rose Namajunas.

One of the most exciting names on the card for fight fans in the UK is Molly McCann, who will be making her return to the octagon for the first time since defeating Hannah Goldy back at UFC London in July.

The company had reportedly hoped to get Paddy Pimblett to also appear on the fight card from MSG, but he refused to do so, noting (via Liverpool Echo): “No I am not fighting in New York. End of. I am not fighting in New York. I am not getting robbed by the taxman.”
