Who is Samuel Lusale? Manchester United close to signing Crystal Palace winger
Crystal Palace winger Samuel Lusale is close to becoming the latest youth player to sign for Manchester United this summer.
Silva Mexes Tyler-Earnshaw moved from Ipswich Town in May, and James Overy joined last month, as the Manchester Evening News reported. With Reading's Camron Mpofu expected to sign, Lusale is close to becoming the fourth new arrival at the academy.
The 16-year-old has spent the last three seasons at Palace, playing for their under-16s and under-18s during the most recent campaign. After featuring ten times for the U18s last term, Lusale represented Slovakia at the Under-17 European Championship last month in Cyprus.

Earlier this year, the forward made his competitive debut during a March qualifier against Switzerland, assisting the winning goal in the 2-1 win after coming on as a second-half substitute. Then, three days later, Lusale scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Greece after being handed his first start.
Before the U17 Euros, ESPN highlighted Lusale's "exceptional acceleration, relentless enthusiasm to beat defenders, and clever movement in the final third" in picking him as the player to watch from Slovakia. He has played six times for them this year. However, Lusale, whose middle name is Malama, has Zambian roots through his father, Chisola, and reportedly, according to Zed Soccer Zone, wanted to play for the southern African country before turning out for his mother's nation instead.
