New Manchester United third kit 'leaked' as embarrassing gaffe spotted

It seems Manchester United accidentally revealed their own third kit during an awkward segment on their own TV channel, MUTV, on Saturday.

United were playing their second pre-season friendly against Rangers at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, where they bounced back from a 1-0 defeat by Rosenborg with a 2-0 victory over the Scottish side.

Goals from Amad and Joe Hugill provided some encouragement for Erik ten Hag ahead of their trip to the United States. However, there was also a moment of embarrassment on the day. Before the match started, MUTV presenter Zarah Connolly was chatting with supporters outside the stadium.

She approached a man wearing a white United shirt with a distinctive red and black stripe across the chest .The fan was on screen for just 17 seconds before Connolly made an excuse to leave and the camera quickly cut away.

Many United fans had already noticed and believe the short was indeed club's third kit. A clip of the moment went viral on X, attracting 1.7 million views.

United have officially released their home kit - a classic red strip made by Adidas and sponsored by Snapdragon - and a blue away shirt. But the third kit has not yet been released to the public.

United's recent match in Scotland showcased a marked improvement from their previous lacklustre performance in Trondheim, with Amad drawing attention for his goal-scoring prowess and Leny Yoro making an immediate impact in the starting XI after his £58million transfer from Lille.
