Who is in the Heartstopper cast on Netflix and what have they been in before?

The new Netflix series Heartstopper follows two schoolboys as they work through their feelings for each other. It is based on the Heartstopper graphic novels by Alice Oseman.

If you are a fan of the books, Oseman is the creator and writer of all eight episodes. She has also been heavily involved with the filming and casting process, so fans are expecting the series to remain true to the books. Most of the cast are making their screen debut with the series.

The first episode dropped today (April 22) on Netflix. Euros Lyn, the director of the series has worked on Daredevil, Black Mirror and Broadchurch. Without further ado, meet the cast of Heartstoppper.

This is Joe Locke’s screen debut. He beat 10,000 other candidates for the role of Charlie.

Kit Connor as Nick Nelson

Kit Connor played a young Elton John in the biopic Rocketman. He has appeared in SS-GB, War & Peace and Grantchester. Today he provides the voice of Pan, daemon to Lyra Belacqua, in BBC drama His Dark Materials.

William Gao as Tao Xu

Heartstopper is also William Gao’s screen debut.

Yasmin Finney as Elle Argent

Yasmin Finney is well known for TikTok, this is her screen debut. She will also be starring in the directorial feature debut of POSE star Billy Porter.

Corinna Brown plays Tara Jones

Corinna Brown previously had a small role in BBC Three television film My Murder, starring John Boyega.

Sebastian Croft plays Ben Hope

Croft is known for playing a young Ned Stark in Game of Thrones, he has also appeared in Penny Dreadful and DC's Doom Patrol.

Jenny Walser plays Tori Spring
