Who is Chelcee Grimes in Soccer Aid 2022?

Soccer Aid is back and once again a host of famous faces and professional footballers will be taking part. The big charity football match is taking place on Saturday night and features Chelcee Grimes.

Chelcee, 30, has taken part in the past two Soccer Aid games and will be representing the World XI FC alongside the likes of Usain Bolt, Patrice Evra, Cafe and Mark Strong. From Liverpool, Chelcee is not only a singer and songwriter but a footballer and broadcaster too.

Chelcee began playing for Liverpool Ladies aged 10 and during her career has played for Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, Tranmere Rovers and Merseyrail Ladies FC.

Chelcee is an established songwriter and has written songs for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Kesha, Olly Murs, Tom Walker and Dua Lipa and is Grammy-nominated.

As a presenter she has worked for the BBC and COPA90 and has covered the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. She is also the co-presenter of Match of the Day spin-off show, MOTDx on BBC Two.

Most recently viewers may have seen Chelcee on BBC's Freeze The Fear With Wim Hof where she undertook a series of rather chilly tasks - including swimming under a frozen lake. She also took part in ITV's The Games earlier in May where she was crowned one of the winners.

Now in its 11th year, donations from Soccer Aid go to Unicef with money used to help give kids the best start in life.

Soccer Aid for Unicef 2022 is taking place at the London Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford. The fixture has moved back to its summer date after taking place in September last year due to delays caused by the Covid pandemic.

Kick off is 7:30pm though the show starts a little earlier with plenty
