Who is Ashley Dale's boyfriend Lee Harrison and what happened to him?

Channel 4's new documentary, Merseyside Detectives, takes a look at the police investigation into two high-profile shootings in Liverpool in 2022, which left Ashley Dale and nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel dead.

Ashley, a 28-year-old council worker, was gunned down in her Old Swan home during the early hours of August 21. She died after being shot in the abdomen with a Skorpion sub-machine gun.

Her shooting came as part of a tangled web of lies and fighting over drugs, women and revenge - with her boyfriend Lee Harrison at the heart of it. Lee had made dangerous enemies, even among his former friends, and when Ashley's killer stormed her home on that fateful night, it was Lee that he was trying to find.

During the eight-week trial, a jury was told Ashley and Lee had made an agreement with each other days before she was killed, the Liverpool Echo reports. Ashley had been having "terrible anxiety" over a growing feud between her boyfriend and his former friend Niall Barry, also known as Branch.

In a voice note Ashley sent to Olivia McDowell, the ex-girlfriend of Sean Zeisz, Ashley said: "Had terrible anxiety yesterday, absolutely terrible anxiety I just can't even be a**** speaking about anything don't speak about all the madness just try and bring positive energy and vibes to the house. Me and Lee have said we're not speaking about any madness, just trying to be as positive as we can you know what I mean?"

The court heard that the feud between Barry and Lee was re-ignited when Zeisz was assaulted at Glastonbury festival in June 2022. Jurors were later told that Lee drove past the police cordon outside their home after Ashley
