Beloved Salford takeaway is offering free food for world burger day

Popular burger joint, Burgerism, is hiding four vouchers around the city that can get you free food. To celebrate world burger day the £20 vouchers will be placed in various locations in Manchester on Thursday (August 22).

Bosses at the beloved fast food restaurant are celebrating after Burgerism was crowned the People's Choice Award in the north at this year's British Street Food Awards on Sunday (August 22).

Burgerism will now advance to the British Street Food Awards grand final in London on September 13th – 15th, with winners there going on to represent the UK at the European Street Food Awards grand final in Germany on October 4-6.

From its humble beginnings as a hole in the wall spot in Salford back in 2018, Burgerism has developed a cult like status in the region for their iteration of smashed burgers, wings, fries and homemade dips. The eatery was founded by Mark Murphy, who quit his job as an equity analyst in London to move to the North of England and launch the burger company.

Burgerism has since grown and now boasts multiple stores in Greater Manchester including Salford, Ardwick and Gatley.
