Whithorn boxer makes it two wins from two in his professional career

Tyler Jolly delivered another whizz-bang performance at the Braehead Arena on Friday night to make it two wins from two in his professional career.

The Whithorn wizard stopped Frank Madsen in the fourth round to continue his record of dispatching opponents well inside the distance.

Tyler, 24, stepped out into the lights to a rapturous welcome from the partisan crowd which included around 100 who travelled up from Wigtownshire.

And they were not disappointed as he dominated Madsen from the bell, dropping the Greenland man twice in round one.

And it was all over in the fourth when a powerful body shot crumpled the Viking to end the fight.

Now it’s onwards and upwards for Galloway’s only pro boxer as he pursues his dream of becoming welterweight champion of the world.

“I’m going to take it fight by fight,” he told the News from the golf course on Tuesday.

“I came out uninjured so I want another fight as quickly as possible.

“I think my hair was out of place but that was about it.

“My ambition is to become world welterweight champion, 100 per cent.

“I love making my home town proud and putting Whithorn on the map as much as possible.

“And to be Galloway’s only pro boxer means a lot to me.

“I had trained well and was feeling great during sparring.

“I felt very confident going into the bout and believe that I’m growing into pro boxing, picking my shots and not rushing anything.
