Which games will Rasmus Hojlund miss after huge Manchester United injury blow confirmed

Manchester United have been rocked by the loss of in-form striker Rasmus Hojlund to a muscle injury.

United issued a statement on Friday lunchtime, shortly before Erik ten Hag's pre-Fulham press conference, to confirm that the Dane will miss tomorrow's clash with Fulham at Old Trafford. In addition, they said the injury is 'expected to keep him out for two to three weeks'.

The 21-year-old, who joined United from Atalanta last summer, has been in red-hot form in recent weeks, scoring eight goals in his last eight matches in all competitions. His double against Luton Town last weekend marked the sixth successive Premier League game that he had scored in.

Having played a key role in United's recent resurrection, it is a blow to the club's quest to secure a top four finish this season. United head into tomorrow's meeting with Fulham just five points shy of the Champions League places.

With Anthony Martial already sidelined, United are now without an out-and-out senior centre forward, meaning Marcus Rashford could be tasked with moving inside and leading the attack. Ten Hag had settled on a preferred front-three in recent weeks and is now going to be forced into a reshuffle.

With United expecting Hojlund to be sidelined for 'two or three weeks', he is guaranteed to miss the clash with Fulham, Wednesday night's FA Cup fifth-round tie with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground and next Sunday's Manchester derby against City at the Etihad Stadium. He is also highly likely to miss the clash with Everton at Old Trafford on March 9.
