The  US Open 2022 Tennis is finally here – but where about in the states is this year’s competition being held?

There is talent aplenty at this year’s Tennis US Open. In regards to the men – we have world number one Novak Djokovic, last year’s winner Daniil Medvedev, Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios, Rafael Nadal and many more competing for the crown of the men’s US Open.

For the women, all eyes will be on Emma Raducanu after she shocked the tennis world and beat Leylah Fernandez in last year’s final at just 18 years of age. However, the firm favourite is Poland-born Iga Swiatek. She has taken the tennis world by storm over the past few years and has already obtained two grand-slam victories at the age of 21.

The 2022 US Open will be the 142nd consecutive edition of the tournament and will take place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park of Queens in New York City, New York, United States.

The tournament is played on hard courts and takes place over a series of 15 courts with DecoTurf surface, including the three existing main show courts – Arthur Ashe Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium and the Grandstand.

The entire complex is very impressive, it showcases a grand total of 31 courts as there are also 16 practice courts situated on site.
