When Manchester United and Man City will play each other next season

Manchester United will welcome Manchester City to Old Trafford for the first Manchester derby of the 2023/24 season on Saturday, October 28, it has been confirmed.

The fixtures for the forthcoming campaign were released at 9am on Thursday morning, confirming all 20 clubs' respective schedules. City will begin their defence of the title with a trip to newly-promoted Burnley on Friday, August 11, while United will welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Old Trafford on Monday, August 14.

The first all-Manchester affair of the season has been penciled in to take place on the final Saturday in October, with United welcoming City to M16 for a 3pm kick-off, though the kick-off time and potentially also the date will change for TV scheduling purposes. Last season, the first all-Manchester clash of the campaign was played in the same month but at the Etihad Stadium.

United beat City 2-1 in the last Old Trafford showdown, coming from behind back in January. Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford turned the game on its head following Jack Grealish's opener.

The reverse fixture is scheduled to take place at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, March 2, 2024, again kicking-off at 3pm, though that is likely to change once again. City won the last Etihad showdown between the two sides 6-3, inspired by hat-tricks from both Phil Foden and Erling Haaland.

City, of course, beat United again earlier this month at Wembley in the FA Cup final. Ilkay Gundogan scored either side of a Bruno Fernandes penalty to help the Blues move one step closer to their achievement of scooping the Treble.

Sky Sports has the most games with 128 matches. These include Saturday evening, Sunday and Monday night
