When is the Europa League quarter-final draw? How to watch and whether Manchester United and Arsenal can meet

Manchester United are reacquainting themselves with former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini in the Europa League last-16 as they face Spanish side Real Betis over two legs.

For Erik ten Hag's team, who reached this stage by eliminating Barcelona at the knockout round play-off stage and also came up against Real Sociedad during the group stages, Betis are the third La Liga opponent they have faced during this season's competition.

Erik ten Hag's side put themselves firmly in the driving seat in the first leg, cruising to a 4-1 victory at Old Trafford, meaning that the Reds will have to suffer a calamity in Seville in order to fail to progress and take their place in the quarter-final draw.

The draw takes place on Friday, 17 March. It will encompass the quarter-final, semi-final, and final with all ties to be decided in the same ceremony at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

Coverage begins at 12pm UK time (1pm Swiss time; 8am ET). UEFA will be streaming the draw on their website, while BT Sport will also be broadcasting it and streaming it to subscribers on sport.bt.com and the BT Sport app.

Were United to advance at the expense of Betis, then they would play one of the winners of the other seven round-of-16 ties. Those match-ups are as follows:

In a word, yes. Unlike at all previous stages of the competition, from the quarter-finals onwards two clubs from the same country can be pitted against each other, meaning United may face Arsenal should they both progress.
