When is the Bridgerton season 2 red carpet premiere and how to watch it online?

Hit Netflix show Bridgerton is back on the streaming platform with its latest season this week. In preparation for the big launch Netflix is holding a red carpet premiere.

The series inspired by Julia Quinn’s novels follows the Bridgerton siblings as they set out to find love. Series two focuses on Anthony Bridgerton in his search for a match during social season.

The eldest Bridgerton sibling crosses paths with the Sharma family and sets his eyes on Kate Sharma, a newly arrived smart and headstrong young woman. But Anthony’s subsequent courtship of Kate’s younger sister Edwina Sharma causes drama and even more gossip - cue Lady Whistledown's take on events.

Netflix have been inviting fans based in Manchester to the red carpet event via Lady Whistledown’s society papers, which were handed out to commuters in St Ann’s Square by Regency-era newspaper sellers. Each paper contained a special golden ticket inviting people to apply for a chance to see the World Premiere.

When is the red carpet premiere and how to watch it online if you can’t get a ticket? Here’s everything you need to know.

The red carpet event is due to take place at London’s Tate Modern on March 22 along with the cast in attendance on the red carpet. The lucky winners who have applied will be able to go to the premiere.

This probably won’t be the last premiere for the Regency-era show as seasons 3 and 4 have already been confirmed. Queen Charlotte is also getting her own spin-off from the show.

Those who won’t be at the red carpet event can catch it on Netflix’s Youtube channel where it will be streamed virtually at 8pm GMT.

The second season is inspired by Quinn’s second book in the franchise
