When does the 2022 summer transfer window open for Hull City and fellow Championship clubs?

Hull City boss Shota Arveladze is heading into his first window as Tigers manager with aspirations and aims high following Acun Ilıcalı's takeover. The new owner has desires of returning the side to the Premier League, with a whole host of names already linked with a move to the MKM Stadium.

So just when does the window open for EFL clubs you ask? Well, following the short summer break, the transfer window for EFL clubs will open on June 10 and will close at 11pm on September 1. This gives clubs 83 days to conduct their business.

City have already been active in the market, with the club said to be in advanced talks with Turkish international Ozan Tufan. Hatayspor midfielder Adama Traore has already penned a two-year-deal with the club too following his switch from the Turkish SuperLig.

Eyeing both permanent and loan deals will be an option for Arveladze and his side, as Chelsea goalkeeper and ex-loanee Nathan Baxter has also been rumoured to be of interest for the club once more. The Blues have now completed their takeover which could ease matters.

Hull are also able to sign any free agents both in and outside of the window should they wish to do so. Championship clubs announced their own retained lists towards the end of the 21/22 season, with many experienced names now available for clubs to negotiate with.

Outgoings from the club will also be a situation worth monitoring, with the much talked about England Under 21 winger Keane Lewis-Potter said to be attracting attention from a number of Premier League clubs. The youngster does however have one year left on his remaining deal in East Yorkshire.
