When and what time is Pennsylvania US election result due?
It's down to the wire for Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump in a US election that could still go either way.
Both Trump and Harris have states they can probably count on to get at least 200 electoral votes, but they need to get to 270 to win, so it comes down to several 'swing states'. One of the most important is Pennsylvania, which holds a total of 19 electoral votes and could end up deciding the winner.
Four swing states – Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin – have absentee ballot procedures that can require days to conclude. But if Harris has decisively won the other swing states, it is enough to declare her the victor. Any other result will take time.

Protect Democracy said in a recent report that it expects that Pennsylvania will be called faster than in 2020, when it took four days. In 2020, Pennsylvania was the state that gave Mr Biden enough votes to guarantee he would be president. A new Survation poll suggests a narrow lead for Vice President Kamala Harris. The poll was conducted between November 1st and 4th and reveals that Harris currently holds a slight edge with 51% of intended votes compared to Trump’s 48%.
Pennsylvania law states local election offices can’t begin opening envelopes and tallying mail-in ballots until election day. Polls close in the state at 8pm local time - 1am UK time.
Predicting who will become the US president is all but impossible as even the most-respected polls have not pointed to a clear winner.
