What time does Manchester Pride 2024 start and finish? Open and closing timings for Gay Village Party, Pride parade and vigil

It's just a few days left until thousands of people will be flocking into the Manchester city centre for this year's Pride celebrations. With this year's theme being 'Buzzin To Be Queer - A Hive of Progress', organisers say they hope it will 'unite the people of Manchester' under the symbol of the Manchester Bee.

While most of the festivities will be taking place within the Gay Village, with a variety of stages with headline performances from Jessie J, Loreen, Sugababes, Rita Ora and The Greatest Showman star Keala Settle, Saturday lunchtime will be all about the parade.

The parade kicks off on Saturday starting at 12pm from Liverpool Road, navigating its path through the city centre via Deansgate, Peter Street, Oxford Road, Portland Street, Princess Street, Whitworth Street, and concluding at Fairfield Street around 3pm.

An accessible viewing area is located on Whitworth Street. More information on the theme can be found here.

The Gay Village Party is the hub of the festival with events taking place on all four days of the bank holiday. The only ticketed event the party will feature an array of LGBTQ+ performers and some of the most popular pop musicians in our time.

The festival will kick off on Friday night with the trans led and curated event Trans Filth & Joy, hosted by Milk Presents and Trans Creative. This show will take place on the village stage which is the same spot you can catch Jessie J and DJ Gok Wan.

The event begins at 7:30pm and finishes at 11pm. At the Alan Turing Stage performances will come from Keala Settle, Iconic (feat. Ghetto Fabulous and The Untold Orchestra), OneDa, Lady Bushra, and Violet Blonde.
