What the Celtic dressing love about Brendan Rodgers as new signings go extra mile for Parkhead glory

There's been criticism flying in the past week - but the dressing room are standing right behind the building blocks Brendan Rodgers has put in place at Celtic.

A bruising week has had the Premiership champions drop points to Motherwell at home in the league before exiting Europe with a 2-0 Champions League defeat to Lazio. Winning away at St Johnstone this weekend would help cool resting unease within the fanbase. Some have cried for less of the projects and more ready-made players, with Rodgers himself admitting more quality is needed to compete at Europe's top table.

Some have pointed the finger at the boss' tactics but Greg Taylor insists Celtic have adapted to life post-Ange Postecoglou, and they are enjoying it too under the new gaffer. He told the club's podcast: "It's been really good in terms of the new manager came in. We were all finding our feet to start with, players and staff, learning new ways.

"Eventually as the season has progressed, I think we have got stronger as a unit and as a group of players, myself included. I am really enjoying learning under the new manager."

Taylor also revealed the extra lengths the club's foreign imports are going to for Celtic joy. Stars from Japan and South Korea are in the dressing room alongside some Scandinavian peers plus other nations, but the left-back says many are going out their way to learn English.

He added: "I try to help everyone who signs. We have a very multicultural changing room in terms of players from around the world. It can be difficult, especially when the boys sign and their English isn't amazing. But one thing I will give massive credit to every boy who's signed this season is they have made a real effort to learn the language.
