What Serge Gnabry has done to annoy Chelsea and Tottenham fans amid transfer interest claims

A surprise summer transfer option for Chelsea ahead of the summer transfer window is former Arsenal flop Serge Gnabry.

Sport BILD have claimed that the Blues are interested in a deal for the German wideman, with negotiations over an extended deal with current employers Bayern Munich having reached an impasse.

His current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2023 and should Bayern fail to agree to an extended stay, then it appears likely that they would be forced to cash-in on the 26-year-old sooner rather than later or risk losing him for nothing in just 18 months time.

Whilst there is no doubt that Gnabry would be an excellent addition to Thomas Tuchel’s current options, with the former Arsenal man having developed a reputation as one of the most productive wide players in Europe, he has previously fired a couple of shots at the Blues that could irritate Chelsea fans.

Following a 7-2 Champions League mauling of London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in 2019 - a game in which he netted four goals - the German took to Twitter to offer his thoughts over which side are the most dominant in the capital.

He wrote: “North London is RED!!!”

Whilst that is clearly an effort to rattle those of a Spurs persuasion, he then repeated the same trick as he came up against Chelsea barely months later.

Travelling to Stamford Bridge in the last-16, Gnabry netted twice in three second-half minutes, with Robert Lewandowski adding a third late on to secure a dominant victory for the German giants in London.

The winger took to social media yet again - this time with a message to the Blues.
