It's still too early to say if the German's role as Chelsea manager will be jeopardised by the latest sanctions on the oligarch owner, but they are less than ideal circumstances for any coach to go about their work. In his less than 14 months at Chelsea, Tuchel has already worked wonders by offering a genuine threat to the powers of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, though he is far from finished with the job in hand — a project that could potentially be cut short by events this week.
If that were to be the case, he could suddenly become one of the leading candidates for the Old Trafford vacancy that looms on the horizon. It is most certainly a potential appointment that should be discussed and thoroughly considered.
