What Plymouth boss and hero goalscorer said about potential Man United FA Cup tie

Plymouth Argyle manager Miron Muslic said that he would welcome to Manchester United to Home Park, expressing his readiness for the Championship side to take on another Premier League giant in the FA Cup.

Despite languishing at the bottom of the Championship, Plymouth have had a remarkable cup run and on Sunday they caused the shock of the round by stunning Premier League leaders Liverpool in the fourth round, following their third-round victory over Brentford.

United, who clinched a last-minute win against Leicester City, remain in contention for the fifth round. The Red Devils are the current holders of the trophy, having triumphed over Manchester City at Wembley last season.

When asked about his preferred opponents for the next round, Muslic responded: "I don't care, anyone."

On the prospect of hosting the Manchester team in Devon, he cheerfully added: "They are more than welcome."

Ryan Hardie, the hero of Sunday's match with his second-half penalty goal against Liverpool, is particularly keen on facing the Red Devils in the next round at Home Park, reports the Mirror.

Hardie expressed his eagerness for a match-up with Manchester United, saying: "I want Manchester United. Bring them here. This day will be cemented in this club's history, in this city's history. It's something we will never forget. When you start your career these are the days you dream of."
