Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy went viral on Tuesday evening after loving every second of the Champions League anthem at the San Siro. And it was the same for Rasmus Hojlund at the Allianz Arena.

Wednesday's clash with Bayern Munich was Hojlund's first-ever game in the group stages of the competition, having previously only played in the early qualifying rounds at Sturm Graz in Austria. And the 20-year-old couldn't help but smile as the iconic anthem played out around the ground.

The adrenaline didn't seem to filter too deep into the first half, with the striker mostly kept quiet by Bayern's imposing defensive partnership of Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano. However, the young Dane did get his first goal for United shortly after half-time, his deflected effort squirming past Sven Ulreich.

Onana frustration obvious

Andre Onana had an evening to forget in Bavaria, with his first-half howler allowing Bayern to take the lead and ultimately get a grip of the game. United had been the better side in the opening half-hour, but when Leroy Sane's weak effort rolled beyond the goalkeeper and into the net, his heart dropped.

Onana was motionless on the ground with his head buried in the turf for what seemed like an eternity. It was only when Sergio Reguilon physically lifted him onto his feet that the frustration on his face was clear.
