What Manchester United legend David Beckham said to welcome Lionel Messi to Inter Miami
Manchester United icon David Beckham has welcomed Lionel Messi to Inter Miami after his transfer was officially confirmed.
Beckham is a stakeholder in the Major League Soccer club and helped complete the biggest deal the USA league's history. Messi joins on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain after rejecting a move to the Saudi Pro League, signing until 2025.
The deal has been common knowledge for some time but has now been rubber-stamped and officially announced. Beckham revealed his delight at making a 10-year dream a reality.
“Ten years ago, when I started my journey to build a new team in Miami, I said that I dreamt of bringing the greatest players in the world to this amazing city," he said.
