What Liverpool will pay to land Arne Slot from Feyenoord as Jurgen Klopp succession plan takes shape

Arne Slot has CONFIRMED he will be the new boss of Liverpool - with the figures surrounding the deal now revealed.

The Feyenoord manager has been the man selected to replace Jurgen Klopp for next season. The German announced earlier this year he would depart Anfield after a hugely successful stint in charge of the Reds. Talk has been rife over who would take over the reins with former player Xabi Alonso - who is working wonders and setting all sorts of records with Bayern Leverkusen - linked heavily at the beginning of the search. He's since committed himself to the Bundesliga champions with Slot winning the race for the big gig.

Sky Sports report that Liverpool will pay £7.7mililon to the Dutch outfit plus a further £1.7m in add-ons in a compensation package to get the deal over the line. His backroom team will include his assistant Sipke Hulshoff and head of performance at the Eredivisie outfit Ruben Peeters. Analyst Etienne Reijnen is also expected to make the move states the same publication. Speaking ahead of Feyenoord's final match of the season, Slot stated: "I can confirm that I will be a coach at Liverpool next season."
