What is the latest news with Derby County, Quantuma and the administration situation?

There is still plenty of uncertainty surrounding the long term future of Derby County as things stand.

Although the Football League confirmed earlier this month that administrators Quantuma have provided proof that the Rams have the required funds to complete the Championship season, the search for a buyer to take the club out of administration and beyond the current campaign continues.

Indeed, although a number of potential bidders have been linked with the purchase of Derby County, reportedly including ex-Newcastle owner Mike Ashley, there has yet to be confirmation of a preferred bidder to buy the club.

One of those interested parties who will not be buying the club however, are the Binnie family, who in a statement issued to the BBC earlier in March, confirmed they have ended their interest in buying the club, after their offer of £30million, which included the purchase of Pride Park from former Derby owner Mel Morris, was deemed too low.
