What happened in Tyson Fury's last UK fight as Dillian Whyte bout at Wembley awaits

It has been a long time coming but boxing fans will finally be given another opportunity to see Tyson Fury in action in the UK.

The Gypsy King's last five bouts have taken place in the United States following his return to the boxing scene in 2018 after a three-year absence.

Fury drew with Deontay Wilder controversially in the first of those five fight, then defeating Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin before his back-to-back triumphs against Wilder.

That saw Fury win and then successfully defend the WBC heavyweight title, which he's now set to put on the line on April 23rd at Wembley Stadium against Dillian Whyte.

When he enters the ring later this year, it will be almost four years since his last UK fight, which came in Belfast in August 2018.

That bout was Fury's second since returning from a lengthy absence and, as such, was set for just 10 rounds - lower than the 12 he has had in the five fight since.

Francesco Pianeta was Fury's opponent and the fight went the distance, with Fury then being crowned winner on the referee's card with a 100-90 result.

Prior to that, in Fury's last bout in England, the Gypsy King overcame Sefer Seferi at the Manchester Arena with a fourth-round stoppage.

He inflicted a first career defeat upon the Albanian, who had four further fights following that defeat, losing twice and drawing once, before he became inactive in 2019.

Overall, six of Fury's last 10 bouts have come outside the UK, including the 2015 win against Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf.
