Mark Wright lets slip his unusual nickname for wife Michelle Keegan

Mark Wright has revealed the nickname he uses for his wife Michelle Keegan and it's not one you hear very often - if at all.

The former The Only Way is Essex star let slip the pet name he uses for his wife during his radio show on Heart.

Mark, 35, and actress Michelle, 34, tied the knot six years ago in a stunning ceremony at St Mary's Church in Bury St Edmonds.

The couple had met three years earlier in Dubai.

And Mark has revealed that he calls Michelle 'treacle pant' - but only ever in private.

The reality star-turned presenter admits that he doesn't know where 'treacle pant' came from.

Mark said on his show: "Apparently the top names to call our partners are ‘babe’, I mean that’s standard. Also ‘sweetie’ - nah that’s not me, ‘honey bun’, ‘boo’, ‘handsome’, ‘princess’.

"I've thrown the odd princess out to my wife before I’m not going to lie. I sometimes call my wife treacle pant.

"I don’t know why, obviously you’ll be like ‘hello treacle’, but I put a 'pant' on the end, like treacle pants - but I take off the 's', 'treacle pant you want a cup of tea?'"

But it seems he regretted letting the world know afterwards.

"I can't believe I just said that live on radio," Mark added.

Earlier this month Mark shared his feelings for former Coronation Street star Michelle as he posted a romantic message on Valentine's Day.

He Instagrammed a snap of the pair side-by-side on a sunshine holiday together before proudly calling the Brassic actress his 'wingwoman.'

"Happy Valentine to my wingwoman!! Cheers to laughter, love and happiness," he wrote.

And he added about his wife of almost seven years: "My best pal."
