Here’s how Nottingham-based design firm, Metixi, is making effective brand design affordable for all
Twenty-year-old entrepreneurs, George Wilmshurst and Harry Goodman are the co-founders of Metixi, a subscription-based graphic design and communications firm.
The pair previously founded their own business ventures beforehand, but facing many similar issues with the design industry climate, they teamed up to tackle them head on.
George Wilmshurst, the firm’s managing director and head of design, said: “Despite the saturation of the marketing industry, many freelancers and agencies still seem adamant to stick to an outdated and exorbitant pricing model.
“When it comes to SMBs (small-medium businesses), charging per project or even on a per hourly basis is not cost effective for either party and fundamentally decreases the likelihood of establishing a productive, long-term relationship.”
A report from Metixi’s website explains that SMBs are facing a severe communications issue whilst trying to compete with larger corporations.
Metixi explains that differentiating SMB branding and expanding online outreach through effective design can help to overcome this problem and increase conversions.
Metixi’s solution is simple. The company aims to make effective design affordable for all, charging one flat monthly rate and allowing customers to submit an unlimited number of graphic design requests. Doing so, according to the firm, is mutually beneficial and far more efficient ‘if you get the maths right’.
Metixi’s head of accounts, Harry Goodman, explained: “Our approach to account relations is incredibly intuitive. We have prospective clients book a call with us and explain their needs for our services.
“We talk to them about how we can help and then they are able to purchase a subscription directly from the website. No contracts
