When Thomas Tuchel spent time talking to Raphinha following Chelsea's win over Leeds United in December, it was inevitable rumours would emerge.

The Brazilian international has been a stellar Premier League player since joining Marcelo Bielsa's side for £17 million in October 2020.

Raphinha has been Leeds' chief creator and recorded 25 goals and assists in 51 appearances in his time in Yorkshire.

The 25-year-old was quickly linked to Liverpool and in recent weeks Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been added to the ranks, with West Ham even reported to have had a £50 million bid rejected in the January transfer window.

Raphinha would not be drawn on his future however.

He told BBC Radio Leeds: "I’ve got a contract until 2024, my head is totally here and focused on Leeds.

"As for contractual matters, I leave them to my agent and my dad.

"I just focus on playing my football and making the Leeds fans happy, scoring goals, providing assists and getting victories for the team.

"Contractual matters are for my agent, my focus is on making people happy with my football and doing as best as I can for Leeds."

While the tricky winger has remained coy on his career, he has impressed all manner of players and pundits alike.
