Steven Naismith will be hoping the emotion of what will be a last appearance at Ibrox for many Rangers players gets to the home side as he looks to keep alive Hearts' hopes of finishing third in the Scottish Premiership with a win over his old club.

Naismith played alongside legendary Light Blues keeper Allan McGregor who is set to bow out in Govan alongside some other long-serving Rangers stars. The game itself won't have an impact for Michael Beale's men who are just looking for a miserable campaign to come to a close.

But the same can't be said of the Jambos who still have a chance of finishing best of the rest and securing that lucrative European group stage spot, albeit they probably still need a favour from St Mirren against Aberdeen. However, it's certainly not a meaningless fixture for the men in maroon as Naismith – a multiple trophy winner himself during his time at Ibrox – looks to stake his claim for the permanent position at Hearts.

The game will take place on Wednesday, May 24 at Ibrox Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
